2015 Roush S550 Mustang Teased on Facebook

When push comes to shove, the big boys in the muscle car tuning world go all out in order to keep rivals at bay. After Saleen dropped a teaser of the S302 Mustang and a few exclusive details to autoevolution in July, Roush Performance follows up with a mysterious teaser of the 2015 Roush S550.

There are still a few months to go until the first stock 2015 Ford Mustangs will be delivered to their eager owners, but Steeda, Saleen and Roush already have had the chance to develop their upcoming mod packages on pre-production Stangs offered by the Blue Oval itself. In the United States at least, there's a big industry centered around customizing muscle cars, especially the Ford Mustang.

While Steeda didn't say anything about what's it got in store for people that want more from their 2015 Ford Mustang, Saleen told us that it's already taking orders for the S302, hinting that the custom model might get pumped up to 500 horsepower considering that the GT's V8 mill generates 435 ponies.

More recently, the 2015 Roush S550 Mustang was teased on the company's Facebook page and there's not much to report at the moment. Besides the darker than black photo outlining the profile of the car, Roush Performance said to "keep a close eye on our page during the coming weeks as we start to pull back the curtains and reveal what Roush Performance has planned for the 2015 Ford Mustang."

At the present moment, we can tell you that a 5-spoke alloy wheel design is on the menu, as well as high performance disc brakes, an aggressive bulging hood, a big boot spoiler and Roush badges on the sides. We also expect some suspension modifications in the pipeline, while the oomph will most likely rival the Saleen 302 Mustang. We'll see soon enough if Saleen's Marketing Associate was right about the 302 to churn out "the most power of any of our competitors production vehicles."
