The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat may be the new muscle car daddy, but the Blue Oval's all-new Stang is also a very appealing pony car. Though the first units of the 2015 Ford Mustang are still months away from delivery, tuners are already showcasing what upgrades they've created for the new 'Stang.
Saleen Automotive Inc. fully unveiled the all-new S302 Mustang a few days ago. It comes in no less than three distinct flavors, both naturally-aspirated and supercharged, with punch ranging from 450 horsepower all the way to 640 horsepower and a whopping 565 lb-ft (765 Nm) for the range-topper.
But the 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang looks like it was inspired by the Chevrolet Camaro up front, while the profile is a tad boy racer-ish for many Mustang fans. If it were our hard earned bucks on the line, then we would go for the 2015 Roush Mustang because it's that bit more visually pleasing than the Saleen 302.
Black paint, custom 20-inch cast wheels wrapped in grippy Cooper RS3 rubber, hood vents and optional hood scoop differentiate it greatly from the stock '15 Mustang, that's for sure. But the chassis was kitted as well with performance goodies such as new pads and rotors for the Brembo six-piston brakes and no less than two flavors of adjustable coil-overs, among others. To boot, it'll come in three variants dubbed RS (for the V6), RS1 (for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost) and RS2 (for the 5-liter V8).
The car you can see in the photo gallery below is a full-on RS2, fitted with what AutomobileMag calls a raucous sounding active exhaust system. Expected to go on sale in the nearest of futures, Roush is still keeping quiet about the outputs of the tuned pony, but don't expect that big a horsepower difference between equivalent models of the Saleen 302. Now we wait for the Shelby GT350 and Steeda's reply...

Some say beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
...but horsepower and good ol' vee eight burble are nada without adequate looks in our book. AutomobileMag were invited to have an exclusive sneak peak at the new pony from Roush and we expect it to draw more admiring glances than the S302 because the Darth Vader-esque looks are breathtaking (no pun intended).Black paint, custom 20-inch cast wheels wrapped in grippy Cooper RS3 rubber, hood vents and optional hood scoop differentiate it greatly from the stock '15 Mustang, that's for sure.
