As you can see in the gallery below, the Macan doesn’t seem to want to give anything to the Cayenne. Yes, it is slotted and priced below Porsche’s first SUV, but the thing likes to brag about its dynamics rather than submit to class patterns.

Truth be told, the Macan S tips the scales at 1,865 kg (4,111 lbs) DIN, while the Cayenne S weigs 2,065 kg (4,550 lbs) DIN, so the premises for a sportier feeling are here.

Nevertheless, the Macan isn’t fitted with the Cayenne’s active stabilizer bars, called PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) in the carmaker’s alphabet soup nomenclature.

Nevertheless, the Macan’s primary drive axle is the rear one, while the front axle gets power from the first via a multi-plate clutch. However, the front axle can received up to 100 percent of the power, should the situation require this.

In the end, we’re obviously have to wait for a test drive in order to see how the Macan and the Cayenne driving experiences compare. Meanwhile, we'l llet you enjoy the live photos. By the way, that's Maria Sharapova in the pic above.
