2015 Porsche 911 Targa HD Wallpapers

This is how we see the 911 Targa - always in a dreamy state of mind. Then again, how could you not dip your imagination in these classic shapes that come to cover so much engineering work? We decided to share our 911 Targa review dream with you, so here is a set of wallpapers for your virtual playground, all coming in a 1280 x 720 px or in a 1920 x 1080 px form.

The roof mechanism may be a nod to the 1960s Targa, the original one, but when it comes to the works underneath the surface, this is as 21st centuri as it gets. Take the roof panel, for examples. This is an adaptation of the 911 Cabriolet’s panel bow tow, so that fabric is only an attire for the magnesium structure underneath. As for the rear panel, this mixes the laminated safety glass with an aluminum base. Its party trick? The way it glides to the rear, allowing the aforementioned panel to be stowed.

Any chronograph is a piece of time-measuring art, but this is a truly special one. Its presence adorning the dashboard signifies that this is a 911 Targa gifted with the Sport Chrono Package. Think of the latter as a personal trainer that takes every system in the sportscar and makes it even sharper.

You can regard this aluminum-finished safety bar as a gift from the American market - when the original Targa introduced this, it was to please the safety-concerned US public, who wasn’t really sure about the protection offered by a full convertible. Oh and by the way, what you see here is only a wrap for a steel bar that’s connected to the chassis of the car on both sides. It’ll protect you, that’s for sure.

Porsche’s 911 already treats the driver and his passenger with a remarkably practical interior. The Targa only comes to enhance this, offering the best of both worlds. Plus, you can enjoy the open-air motoring up to about 55 mph (90 km/h) without a hint of wind in the cabin.

As the rear panel elegantly moves rearward, the “engine cover” is exposed. Like any member of its family, the Targa doesn’t want strangers peeking into its engine compartment, so this is all you can see. Don’t worry though, the Targa more than makes up for this in terms of the aural experience. The new configuration brings more of the flat six voice into the cabin. Retruning to the visual side of the deal, you can bath in the car’s charms by browsing the Full HD photo gallery of our 2015 Porsche 911 Targa review.
