The suspension work in the photo above shows just how hard the 911 prototype is being pushed through the Carusel. The revised 911 is now in the advanced stages of testing - perhaps no other car has that fine balance of handling, so Porsche is taking this to the limit.

The 911 test vehicle is wearing the new front apron, with the revised daytime running lights and the more angular styling, the latest design trend for the German automotive producer. Nonetheless, while the previous sets of spyshots revealed a central exhaust, this vehicle is using the standard layout.

This appears to be a Carrera S model, so expect to see more versions of the 911 hitting the ‘Ring soon. And speaking of 911 incarnations, we’ll remind you that the facelift is expected to enrich the engine range with a new turbocharged engine.

Porsche recently confirmed that the next-gen Boxster and Cayman will be powered by a new turbocharged four-cylinder boxer unit. This could make its debut on the 911 in a turbocharged form. The Germans explained that the powerplant would deliver up to 400 hp, a perfectly suitable output for the 911.
