For the 2015 model year, the Japanese carmaker detailed what enhancements have been made to keep the Quest minivan fresh. Built at Nissan's Shatai plant in Kyushu, Japan, the 2015 model year Quest is priced from $26,530 including $885 destination.
Sporting with the same cool Forum Concept styling cues, every variant of the 2015 Nissan Quest is set in motion by a VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 motor, rated at 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. That powerplant is coupled to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission, which has been updated with D-step logic for a very smooth driving experience.
Through D-step logic, the CVT box simulates shifts like a normal automatic tranny, giving the driver a more natural feeling when accelerating. To boot, the gearbox update doesn't hold the engine's revs high constantly, letting rpms build up as speed builds up.
With this powertrain configuration, the 2015 Quest will return better fuel economy than the 2014 model year: 27 mpg highway (+2) / 20 mpg city (+1) / 22 mph combined (+1). Not bad for a family hauler as big as this one. Regarding enhancements operated to the 2015 Nissan Quest, the previous top-ranging LE trim level is now called the Platinum ($43,180).
Available with a wide suite of optional packages as the DVD Entertainment System, Bose Package, Dual Opening Glass Moonroof, Leather Package and Roof Rails, the 2015 Quest prides itself with a one-touch unlock / open power liftgate, offered as standard on the Quest SL and Platinum. Lastly, moms and dads will be happy to find out that third row power return seatbacks are standard on the Platinum trim.
