The world’s best-selling EV Nissan Leaf will continue to grow in popularity as the 2015 model comes with extra features, even on the lower spec models, still offering the space, comfort and range to meet everyday needs.
Starting with the basic Leaf S version, you’ll now get the B-Mode offered as standard, which enables more aggressive regenerative braking while decelerating to recharge the battery more efficiently. The other two modes offered on all models are Normal and Eco-Mode.

The SV grade gets standard 17-inch aluminum wheels, as well as Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant and Voice Destination Entry. The two features will also be found on the top grade SL.

All Leaf versions will get a new MorningSky Blue color later. Pricing hasn’t yet been announced for the 2015 models, but stay close as they should be revealed soon.

Being probably the greenest car on the market now, using up to 25 percent recycled materials, the Nissan Leaf managed to get past the 100,000-unit global sales mark recently, benefiting from government tax exemptions and incentives.

Currently, in the US, you can get one for as low as $21,480, being powered by an electric drive system developing 107 bhp and 187 lb-ft of torque right off the line. The system is rated at 126 mpge city and 101 mpge highway, being able to travel around 84 miles on a full battery, more than double an average American needs to go daily (33 miles).
