Earlier this week we saw the first spy photos of the new MINI Clubman Cooper S testing on the Nurburgring and we were rather intrigued by the fact that it was testing just one month after the Concept was unveiled at Geneva.
Today we got hold of some footage of the car hooning around the Green Hell, screeching its tires in every corner, putting the new 2-liter turbocharged engine to work throughout the process.

From the looks of things, we might be seeing much of the concept in the production car. The overall body shape of the car looks exactly the same and, while we can’t really make out any details beneath the camouflage at the moment, we believe the front end will suffer some alterations.

However, most interesting details were focused inside the cabin on the Concept and that’s where we expect the most changes to happen. Apart from leaving the ‘half-door’ design behind, the new model should feature some upbeat materials inside alongside new technology and graphics for the displays.

The barn doors at the back will surely be kept on as the car wouldn’t be a Clubman without them. The first car that wore this moniker back when the Mini was still small, was defined by the added practicality of those hinges mounted to the sides and things will definitely remain the same in the future.

We’re expecting the new car to be launched in production form at the Geneva Motor Show 2015, with the same engine range as the Hardtop and possibly a few more optional features available, to cater to its unique character.
