The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLK is still a bit far from being officially revealed, with current information giving it an Autumn 2014 unveil, either at the Paris Motor Show or the 2014 LA Auto Show, even though both fairs would be a bit early for a car that had its mid-cycle facelift last year.
Either way, Mercedes-Benz seems to be a bit anxious to make people learn more about the upcoming model.

We say this because the following interior spy photos were taken with the complicity of the Mercedes-Benz test driver at the wheel, who obviously was well aware that there's a photographer near the camouflaged pre-production prototype he was driving.

As you can see, the center console is nearly identical with that of the upcoming C-Class W205, which is understandable since they are both using the same MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) platform and will share a lot of common parts.

The free-standing tablet-like display seems to be the largest in any non-S-Class Mercedes-Benz, while the touch-pad control interface will also find its way into the GLK as well.
