The upcoming mid-cycle refresh for the gorgeous CLS (C218) is steadily approaching, and Mercedes-Benz engineers are still testing pre-production prototypes sporting minimal camouflage.
The following car was spotted during winter-testing and, as you can see, is sporting the AMG bodykit, making for a much sportier appearance.
As expected, the A-Class and CLA-Class “star grille” will make an appearance on the Mercedes-Benz CLS facelift as well, with the pre-production prototype spotted in the adjacent images also featuring what appears to be a new color.
Apart from minor adjustments to the front and rear bumpers, the CLS facelift will also sport slightly restyled headlights and a new cluster design for the taillights, while the interior will feature the new free-standing screen that quite a lot of people seem to hate.
Expect the model to be unveiled alongside its Shooting Brake version either the Geneva Motor Show in March or at the Paris Motor Show in October.
