Today we're bringing you the first ever spy photos of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake (X117), which is set to be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and market-released sometime in the summer as a 2015 model.
As you might already know, the Shooting Brake version of the CLA is the fifth and final model that is to be based on the Mercedes-Benz MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform.

Various automotive media outlets were dreaming about an MFA-based front-wheel drive roadster but that will obviously not be the case, at least momentarily.

Set in the same niche universe and following the same design philosophy as the CLS Shooting Brake (X218), the model depicted in the exclusive photos bellow will feature the same engine lineup found on the four-door coupe variant, with a CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake to be unveiled most likely at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

Judging by the both the road taken by its bigger brother and the adjacent images, the CLA Shooting Brake is set to feature a bit more head room than the four-door coupe version. Topping that with a bigger luggage compartment, we would expect some very interesting sales numbers for the model in Europe.
