Confirmed for a 2015 launch, McLaren’s upcoming Porsche 911 contender, dubbed P13, is being tested as we speak, with our recent spyshots showing the new sportscar being driven somewhere in Southern Europe.
Unfortunately, the British are still acting all mysterious when it comes to the P13’s exterior styling, and they have yet to show us anything other than a prototype fitted with a MP4-12C body or a heavily camouflaged mule.
Although there’s no indication to how the entry-level sportscar will look like, word has it McLaren will be rolling out some sort of downsized 12C with a few styling cues from the P1. And that’s exactly what Top Speed’s brand new rendering is all about, depicting a smaller 12C with a P1 front end.
As a brief reminder, the P13 will be powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine rated at around 450 HP and is expected to become available starting from £120,000 (€143,000 / $194,000).
