This has most definitely been the Mercedes-Benz M-Class facelift day, as this is the third report about the upcoming model we're putting together.
Earlier we first talked about the two major differences in the design that the interior of the MY 2015 M-Class W166 facelift will feature compared with the current one, after which we gave you guys a rather extensive gallery of a camouflaged pre-production model.
As it turns out, one of the spy photographers we collaborate with actually managed to shoot the completely undisguised center console of the redesigned model and it seems that we were right all along, with the exception of a rather important detail.
If this photo is correct (and it obviously is, ed), another major difference that the facelift will feature compared with the current one – apart from the ones already mentioned earlier – will be the fact that the two center air vents will also be restyled.
They don't look bad at all in our view, but they also make the center console look remarkably similar with the one from the Porsche Cayenne (958). Naturally, this is a single photo taken in a hurry through the model's side window, so in the flesh it might give an entirely different impression.
Still, we put together a couple of photo collages in the small gallery below, where the current Mercedes-Benz M-Class W166, Porsche Cayenne (958) and the 2015 M-Class facelift center console are put together for a comparison. Expect more information about the model in the upcoming months, especially since we're dying to get a glimpse of the new front end as well.
