Derestricted, the official blog of KTM’s design house Kiska, shows a set of preview photos for the 2015 250 SX-F motocross machine. However, we’ll have to make do only with the pictures for now, as no technical details have leaked. Even so, we can spot some differences from the 2014 version of the bike.
First of all, it’s the orange frame, and we’re glad to see KTM extending this cool feature to more that the flagship big-bore bikes. This is stock trim, just like the black Excel rims, and together, these add massive styling points to the 2015 iteration of the SX family, straight from the box.

The rear subframe and the whole rear section of the bike seem to have been revised, and probably also lightened a bit, while the triple tree and the rear shock are also rumored to have been replaced with newer, better-performing ones to improve stability.

According to Kiska, 2015-spec machinery has already been sold through select KTM dealers in Austria, but the manufacturer’s official website is still silent on this. However, more info on the new line-up of KTM enduro and MX motorcycles is expected soon, as this segment is usually releasing stuff ahead of the others.

No price was mentioned either, so we can only expect that the 2015 KTM 250 SX-F be priced in the same area as its 2014 sibling. Its price in Austria, including all taxes is €8,855 ($12,100). Definitely not exactly the cheapest off-road bike, but by all means, one of the elite in the quarter-liter segment.
