Kawasaki debuted the Ninja series back in 1984, and this means that 2014 marks their 30th anniversary, and the early 2015 ZX-10R Ninja is the first special-edition machine to be unveiled. However, we’re only dealing with some superficial makeover, even though we hoped to see much more features embedded in this historic bike.
The 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja 30th Anniversary shows a limited edition Lime Green/Pearl Stardust White livery, and anniversary badges on either sides of the fairings. The spring of the rear monoshock and the fork caps have been also painted/anodized in the iconic Kawa green… and that’s about all there is on the anniversary side to the new Ninja. The standard version of the bike will most likely be offered in Metallic Matte Carbon Gray/Flat Ebony.

On the tech side, the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja 30th Anniversary is pretty much identical to the previous model year, so if you were expecting some nice festive treats, such as some extra horsies or the like, it’s down to engine tuning, aftermarket exhausts and the likes of that.

This Ninja uses Showa’s Big Piston Fork (BPF) and an adjustable-compression rear shock, with setting for both low- and high-speed damping. Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Braking (KIBS) are offered as part of the options package, while the Öhlins twin-tube steering damper is standard.

Also in the performance area, the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja 30th Anniversary shows the sport version of the KTRC traction control system which analyzes 200 reading per second in order to adapt very fast to changing conditions.

If you liked the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja 30th Anniversary, ready some $15,599 (€11,200) for the ABS version and go for it, because we know stocks won’t last forever on this one. The non-ABS model is a grand less.
