Hyundai has taken the wraps of the brand new generation Genesis at last. Although we’ve already seen the sedan’s new styling via a batch of spyshots earlier this month, now we can finally check out the features and performance specs.
Unveiled in South Korea in front of over 1,000 people, the second-generation Genesis sports the company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, which comes with a single-frame tridimensional hexagonal front grille, larger Bi-HID headlamps, LED blinkers and fog lamps. Round the back, the sedan was aligned to modern standards with a sportier design and LED taillights.
Inside, the 2015 Genesis was equipped with a new “user-centric” design, a high quality seat design, and more premium materials. Cabin space was also increased by 3.7 liters, compared to the previous model, to 26.9 liters.
The brand new sedan will go on sale with four engines, starting with a 3.0-liter V6 rated at 257 HP. A 3.3-liter V6 engine will deliver 282 HP, while a 3.8-liter V6 unit will provide 315 HP. Lastly, the 5.0-liter V8 will make some US customers happy with 425 horses.
