The North American variant of what most of the world refers to as the Grandeur has made an appearance at the Miami Auto Show and not much has changed. Still, this mild refresh brings a few bits and bobs that make the 2015 Hyundai Azera better.
You might remember that with the 2014 model year, the South Korean automaker operated some changes to the model: a $1,250 MSRP reduction compared to the basic trim of the 2013 Hyundai Azera, an updated steering system, a 6-inch audio display with rearview camera and blind-spot warning in the driver's mirror.

For the 2015 Hyundai Azera, changes are predominantly of an aesthetic nature. The highlights come in the form of modern LED fog light clusters offered as standard on the Limited specification, as well as redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels. Then there's the mild botoxization of the front grille, front bumper and rear bumper fascia. Overall, the 2015 Azera is a better visual treat in our eyes.

Pop the hood and you'll find the same old Lambda II 3.3-liter V6 engine motivating the driven wheels

Hyundai says that its 293 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque translate to a best-in-class specific output of 88.8 horsepower per liter, while boasting the smallest displacement V6 in its class. Unfortunately, there's no info available on emissions or fuel economy improvements. But the list of revisions doesn't end here.

2015 sees the Hyundai Azera facelift a tad better equipped thanks to standard Blind Spot Detection bundled with Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist. Standard features also include a hands-free trunk opening system, a revamped center stack, illuminated door sill plates and an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system.

Lastly, the tech-savvy will be happy to find out Vehicle Safeguards Alerts In-Vehicle App is also on the menu, allowing parents to keep an eye on their kids by monitoring their vehicle's speed, hours of operation and movements via phone text message and e-mail alerts.
