Also known as the Grandeur, the Hyundai Azera is the manufacturer’s mid-size luxury car, slotted in between the Sonata and the Genesis. First shown at the Miami Auto Show in November, the 2015 model year facelift returns with new details and photos.
Naturally, the visual difference that strikes you foremost is the redesigned front fascia. Although those LED fog lights looking like ice cubes come as standard starting from the Limited trim level, the botoxed front and rear bumpers, as well as the 18-inch alloy wheels are standard equipment.
A hands-free Smart Trunk opener is also bundled without looking in your pocket for a few bucks more, but the High Beam Assist is an optional extra on 2015 Hyundai Azera models below the Limited.
On the safety front, blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and a lane change assist / lane departure warning feature are there offered for improved safety for the driver in most traffic situations.
Oh, nearly forgot to mention a dual-zone climate control system, leather upholstery and heated seats front and rear are also completely standard. Last but not least, the hood hides a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline-fed engine similar to the one employed by the pre-facelift Hyundai Azera.
With 293 horsepower and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic, the EPA-rated fuel economy stands at 19 mpg city (12 l/100 km) and 29 mpg highway (8.1 l/100 km).
