We recently took the upgraded 2015 Honda Civic facelift for a spin, trying to see what the mid-life facelift brought upon it. Our tester came in 1.6-liter i-DTEC guise, which meant we got to play with 120 horsepower and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque.
However, somewhere along the way we realized these figures only pave the way for a comfortable and mild driving experience. Don't get us wrong, this is not a bad thing, but let's say it's less than the Civic's exterior package announced.

Since we touched this aspect, let's focus on design for a second. We know this is a matter of subjectivity, but we feel the Civic facelift's exterior design was crowded, as Honda tried to make it, from a visual point of view, a teaser for the hardcore Type R. Just have a look at the front end - the spoiler especially - and you'll get our point.

Some might like it or some might not, but the essential point here is the Civic kept its distinctive appearance in a hatchback world flooded with Germanic, straight lines and too serious design approaches.

Interior

Honda fans should breathe easy, as the 2015 Civic facelift is still a Honda. By that we mean practicality is touching good levels regarding the car's boot, comfort is also a plus, but don't expect those sitting in the back to say that as well.

The cabin is well-protected from exterior noises, regardless if they come from the engine or from traveling at highway speeds, although we would have liked a less sober approach in the cockpit's design department.

Technology is a must these days, so Honda upgraded the Civic with a new touchscreen for the infotainment system powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

However, that's as far as we'll go with spoilers so in order to find out more about the 2015 Honda Civic facelift, please do so from our full review.
