Honda of America has just announced official pricing information of the 2015 Civic compact, covering the regular trim levels of the Coupe and Sedan. Spurred on by a strong increase in demand over the summer, the company has actually increased prices across the range without making any major changes.
The new model year goes on sale tomorrow (September 17th) and will retail from a suggested $18,290, the cheapest model being a Civic Coupe in LX trim with manual transmission. A quick check of the 2014 Civic shows that prices have actually increased by $100. The base Civic Sedan starts at $18,490 starting tomorrow, which represents an even larger $200 increase over the previous model.
New to the range is the Civic Special Edition (SE) trim level, which fits between the LX and EX, "adding over $1,100 worth of telematics, audio, comfort, convenience and style upgrades for just $700 over the Sedan LX."
Another difference for the 2015 Civic is the CVT, available on the Civic Sedan LX, Civic Coupe LX and EX, and standard on all other trims. It helps ensure Honda's compact is amongst the most efficient on the market, boasting up to 41 mpg highway.
Honda has not yet released pricing information for the Civic Si Sedan and Coupe, Civic Hybrid and Civic Natural Gas, all of which will be launched later this fall. Those interested in pricing for the regular models can already view that in the press release section below.
