General Motors has announced EPA-estimated ratings for the 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon Denali SUVs. Powered by the same 5.3-liter V8 engine found in the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL can return up to 23 mpg highway and 16 mpg city when equipped with two-wheel drive.
The ratings, which are also available for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, represent a nearly 10 percent increase in highway mileage and a seven percent in city mileage over the previous models.
Moving over to the 2015 Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali, which come with an exclusive 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, GM says the two-wheel drive models will return up to 21 mpg highway and 15 mpg city.
Scheduled to arrive in dealerships this spring, the 2015 GMC Yukon will start at $46,335, while the Yukon XL will begin from $49,035. The Yukon Denali and XL Denali will fetch at least $58,320 and $60,985 respectively.
