The 2015 Ford Mustang has won the best production car award at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show earlier this week. The winner was picked by 30 current and retired lead automotive designers.
Despite sporting a controversial design, according to some musclecar enthusiasts and current-generation Mustang owners, the 2015 ‘Stang got more votes than the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the Lexus RC-F or the brand new BMW M4.

As a reminder, the 2015 Ford Mustang showed up at the Detroit Auto Show in its new Triple Yellow exterior color. The GT model was joined by a convertible version of the pony, which was the perfect place for us to have a little chat with Dave Pericak.

The 2015 Ford Mustang was unveiled last month and will arrive in dealerships worldwide in the fourth quarter of the year.
