Wouldn't it be a dream to enjoy a Ford Mustang that mixes the retro look of a 1967 Fastback with the plethora of benefits delivered by a 2015 GT? The answer to this question is obvious, so the motor-crazy crew over at B Is For Build decided to translate this into a real world.
It's been almost a month since we first discussed this stunning Blue Oval project and while the March article included all the uphill work required to put this contraption together, the time has come to start enjoying the fruits of all that labor.

As such, the said crew, whose name you might know thanks to their manual swap Lamborghini Huracan, which made for a world-first last year, has now completed the first test drive of the generation gap-bridging pony.

Now, if you're willing to skip to the hooning part, tire torture and all, you should know this awaits you at the 25:00 timestamp of the clip below. Nevertheless, with this sort of adventure being all about fabrication, the rest of the clip is also worthy of your attention.

For one, the final steps before the maiden "voyage" of the machine involved mixing the modern LED taillight technology with the old-school hardware, while also making sure that Coyote has a hood over its cylinder head.

The GT has been lowered and fitted with custom wheels, so the handling should be on the sharp side, even though it's still a bit early to discuss such aspects.

Nevertheless, returning to the classic Mustang impersonation, the team is going for the look of the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Eleanor. You know, the automotive star of Gone In Sixty Seconds, whether we're talking about the 1974 original or the 2000 blockbuster.

Oh, and keep in mind this 2015 Mustang GT was a flood victim, so we can't wait to see its final form.
