After joining just about any auto show in America since being introduced to the world on December 5, the 2015 Ford Mustang crossed the Pond to show its brand new face at the Geneva Motor Show, Not exactly an European debut, but the right place to reveal itself in front of its numerous fans and potential customers.
FoMoCo brought both the fastback and convertible versions of the sixth-gen pony in range-topping GT trims, one of two models that will go on sale in Europe in the fourth quarter of the year. The GT will sport a 5.0-liter V8 engine - estimated to generate “more than 420 hp and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm)” - under the hood, while the base Mustang will be powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder unit.

The latter, which is expected to be the popular choice among European customers, is expected to deliver more than 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet (406 Nm) of torque. The new Mustang is also scheduled to receive a V6 (300+ hp/270+ lb-ft), but that engine will be restricted to the US and “some minor export” markets.

Ford has yet to reveal pricing, final performance and fuel economy figures, but they should become available in the coming months as the 2015 Mustang will go on sale this summer. Don't forget to check out our live photos below and make sure you come back for more details on the European-spec 2015 Mustang.
