Unveiled today ahead of its official public debut at the Detroit Auto Show, the 2015 Ford F-150 is set to revolutionize the full-size pickup truck industry. Fitted with an aluminum alloy body, the new F-150 is 700 pounds lighter than the current-generation model and comes with several class-exclusive features.
Inspired by the Atlas concept, the new truck is also getting a brand new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that’s expected to delivers the performance of a mid-range V8 with greater fuel efficiency. Packed with Ford’s latest technology, the 2015 F-150 will be packed with technology including 360-degree camera view, integrated loading ramps stowed in the bed, 400-watt power outlets in the cab, LED headlamps, mirror spotlights and remote tailgate release.
