Ford’s successful F-150 pickup truck is being readied for an overhaul as we speak. Scheduled to be introduced for the 2015 model year, the next-generation vehicle will be unveiled in 2014 with a weight-shedding aluminum body.
Little is actually known about the new F-150 and the truck’s design is still a mystery, with only the Atlas Concept showcased as a preview. However, a rendering created by TopSpeed’s David Kiss last month allowed us to have a peek at what the 2015 F-150 test mule might be hiding under its camouflage.
Now, TopSpeed decided to have a stab at the next-generation SVT Raptor high-performance truck, which should arrive for the 2016 model year. The beefed-up pickup gained a meaner appearance thanks to a batch of virtual tweaks, including a new headlight setup, squared-off front fenders, defined rocker panels, a redesigned tailgate, and SVT badging.
If you ask us, this is actually what we expect the next-gen SVT Raptor to look like. Add about 450 HP from that V8 mill we all love and we're in for a great deal of fun. The Shelby version should be killer!
