2015 Ford F-150 Pricing Starts at $26,615

With the Dearborn truck plant a month away from retooling to start production of the 2015 Ford F-150, the all-new pickup truck now has a sticker price. Naturally, that 95 percent aluminum alloy body shell hikes the price on all models and trims, but the change isn't as dramatic as some voices hinted.

Including $1,195 worth of delivery and destination, the XL base model can be yours for $26,615 for the 3.5-liter V6 mill with 283 horsepower and 255 (345 Nm) lb-ft of torque. The entry-level model comes in regular cab guise, rear-wheel drive and a 6.5-foot bed. When properly equipped, the 3.5-liter V6 can tow up to 7,600 lbs and haul 1,910 lbs of stuff.

Some highlight standard features on the base model include a 4.2-inch LCD screen in the center stack, a 2.3-inch digital instrument cluster, telescoping adjustment for the steering wheel and other goodies.

Moving up to the XLT, the best-selling trim in recent years according to a report from USA Today, this variant is $395 more costly than the 2014 model year. $31,890 will get you an F-150 with a regular cab, rear-wheel drive, a 6.5-foot-long bed and the trick BoxLink feature that includes adjustable tie-down anchors, cargo box reinforcements for increased durability and a power tailgate lock.

The lavish Lariat model is $895 more expensive than the 2014 Ford F-150 Lariat in extended cab, rear-wheel drive and 6.5-foot-long bed configuration. For $39,880 you get a fancy instrument cluster dominated by an 8-inch LC screen, LED bed lighting, heated and air conditioned seats, power folding mirrors and a handy rear-view parking camera too.

Those customers that want even more treats can go for the rather expensive King Ranch. Be sure you're sitting 'cause this model isn't a cheap and cheerful truck. At $49,460, the new King Ranch is $3,515 more expensive than the 2014 model year, which is a lot of dough all things considered. In standard setup you get crew cab comfort, rear-wheel drive and a 5.5-foot bed. As for standard features, the King Ranch adds some chocolate sprinkles on top of the Lariat cake: push-button start, LED headlights and tail lamps, side mirror spotlights, a couple of 400-watt AC power inverters and blind-spot indicators.

If you wanna go all out with the 2015 Ford F-150, then the Platinum trim level is what you need. Priced from $52,155 and up $3k from the 2014 MY, for that much money you get a crew cab with drive sent to the rear axle and a 5.5-foot bed, while standard features include wood detailing for the cabin, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, as well as inflatable rear safety belts and massaging front seats. What about other engine options?

Other than the entry-level 3.5-liter V6 Ti-VCT, the 2015 Ford F-150 can be kitted with an all-new 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost with 325 horsepower and 375 lb-ft (508 Nm), a 3.5-liter EcoBoost that replaces the old 3.7-liter V6 unit, as well as an updated 5-liter Ti VCT V8.
