Dodge is turning 100 this summer and the automaker is set to make itself quite a birth day present at the upcoming New York Auto Show, where it will unveil the 2015 Challenger, as well as the 2015 Charger.
At the moment, all we know for sure is that both muscle offerings are scheduled to show us their new faces on Thrusday, April 17. As for what exactly will be hidden behind their fascias, Dodge likes to play the mystery game.

The automaker explains that the the 2015 Dodge Challenger is “new from the inside out for 2015 and features a new powertrain combination that is sure to get enthusiasts "abuzz." Dodge also released the adjacent teaser image, which shows the Scat Pack Logo on the 2015 Challenger dashboard.

The Scat Pack talk is nice and all, but what we’re really hoping for is the new Hellcat engine. We’ve previously shown you a 2015 Challenger prototype fitted with the supercharged V8, with the sheer idle rumble being enough to please.

We’ll also use the occasion to remind you the Hellcat engine, with its expected rating of 640 hp, has sparked a debate within the Chrysler Group. The reason? 640 hp also happens to be the output of the SRT Viper, albeit coming from an 8.4-liter naturally-aspirated V10.

While the Hellcat engine should arrive in New York, the 2015 Challenger will certainly come with revised version of its 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s. An eight-speed automatic accompanies the changes under the hood.

As for the 2015 Dodge Charger, this is on its way to receiving a “full-body makeover with nearly every single body panel being resculpted”, with the aim being a “sleeker, more modern appearance”.

Of course, the aforementioned tech changes will also find their way into the updated Charger. Some fans are still unhappy with the Charger nameplate gaining an extra set of doors, so that revamp would better be good.
