2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Shooting Brake Rendered into Reality

Now that the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has joined its Challenger Hellcat sibling in the quest to conquer the (muscle car) world, perhaps it is time to see this family as a three-member one.

Behold the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Shooting Brake! Alas, this is but a rendering and yet we adore the idea. First of all, the concept itself is not that much of a stretch. Heck, SRT even used to offer something pretty close to this, in the form of the Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring.

That was discarded one generation ago though, so while we’re not expecting Chrysler to resurrect this, the shooting brake theme would be an appropriate approach. It’s not like the Charger sedan’s 16.5 cubic feet (467 liters) are not decent, we’d love the car for the sake of its shape.

Besides, now that the 707 hp Charger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful production sedan in the world, also being the fastest if the quarter mile is your idea of fast, the story could start all over again with the shooting brake.

The sheer sight of such a creature on the drag strip, of course augmented by that monstrous exhaust sound of the 6.2 liters of blown Hemi, is enough to convince us this would be a good idea.

To get an idea of what exactly separates the shooting brake from the sedan, we’ve also attached the original image on which the rendering is based. By the way, the digital creation comes from Hansen ART.

Oh and since we started adding virtual members to the Hellcat family, you should also check out this rendering of a 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat convertible. Oh yes, it’s definitely a cruel summer.
