2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Fuel Economy - 13 MPG City, 22 MPG Highway

When Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles NV unleashed the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the automaker took the muscle car wars to the next level. With its 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm), the Hellcat variant of the Challenger was also crowned king.

Heck, when was the last time an American carmaker sold you a 700+ horsepower two-door coupe for just under $60,000? Yep, the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat pushed the envelope to the next level, but the SRT skunkworks didn’t want to stop at this...

That’s how the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat came on the scene, beating every four-door sedan available to purchase at the present moment in what matters the most for die-hard petrolheads - power and bang for the buck. Unfortunately, that 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI Hellcat tower-of-power is affected by the annoying $1,700 gas-guzzler tax.

But if you look on the bright side of things, the fastest sedan in the world (minus the dual motor and all-wheel drive Tesla Model S P85D) is also a steal thanks to its $63,995 starting price, which includes the gas-guzzler tax we’ve previously mentioned. Curious about how much gasoline this baby drinks?

After the EPA took it for some testing, the Charger SRT Hellcat was rated 13 mpg city (18 l/100 km), 22 mpg highway (10 l/100 km) and 16 mpg combined (14 l/100 km). This frugality is identical to the SRT-ized Challenger Hellcat’s and better than the Ferrari 458 Speciale’s 13 city / 17 highway / 14 combined rating.
