With all the news and videos being posted about the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat recently, there’s pretty much been only one question left to answer: how much will a 707-hp Dodge Challenger cost? Well it looks like AutoGuide (via AutoSpies) may have found us the answer we’ve all been waiting for, which is $59,900.
Pricing has not been announced for any of the 2015 Challenger models, but if this pricing leak proves to be correct, the new Hellcat model would stands as a $19,415 premium over the 2014 Challenger SRT, which starts at $40,485. For the record, that’s probably a bargain if you were going to try to add more than 200 hp to a stock 2015 Challenger SRT on your own.

For 2015, the refreshed Challenger SRT produces 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque from the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, but if you’re stepping up to the Challenger SRT Hellcat, the all-new 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8 produces a mind-blowing 707 hp to go along with 650 lb-ft of torque. This power allows the Hellcat to tackle the quarter mile in just 10.8 seconds when equipped with drag radial tires. Right out of the box, this car can lay down an equally impressive 11.2 ET.

The leaked information was displayed during a product presentation at the launch of the new Hellcat as Dodge compared its supercharged Challenger to rivals like the Shelby GT500, Chevy Camaro ZL-1 and Z/28. Listed at “$59.9k,” that would make the Challenger SRT Hellcat slightly more expensive than the $56,255 ZL-1 and out-of-production GT500 but far less expensive than the $73,300 Z/28.

Is the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat the ultimate muscle car ever? Only time will tell, but with a new SVT-tuned version of the sixth-gen Mustang waiting in the wings (and tearing up the Nurburgring), and we’re pretty sure Ford is going to pull out all the stops to stay at the head of the class.
