With an MSRP starting at $59,995 in the U. S. of A., the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat isn’t only the most powerful production car in the FCA stable, but the most powerful muscle car of all time full stop. At $59,995, it’s also a fine candidate for the coveted yet imaginary “four-wheeled bargain of the century” prize.
Heck, with 707 HP and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) sent to the rear wheels by its 6.2 supercharged HEMI V8 tower-of-power, this Mopar metal is able to run rings around more expensive and technologically enhanced Euro exotica... for a bargain-basement price. A big round of applause for Dodge, please!
But then again, this being the FCA Group, it’s a bit of a shame that the Old Continent doesn’t get the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat through official channels. Only a dealer network dubbed AEC Europe will import Dodge-branded or Ram-branded vehicles there.
More recently, German tuning specialist Geiger Cars also updated its US imports catalogue with the awe-inspiring Challenger SRT Hellcat. With a starting price of €86,000, current exchange rates translate that sum to roughly $91,500. Yup, more than $30k over the North American sticker price.
But you know what? That’s still exceptional value for money considering that a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera starts from €90,417 in Germany. If it were you money, what would you go for? There are two possible answers though: Torred clear coat or the Sublime Green pearl coat paint.
Sorry, Porsche fans, but even Geiger says that "the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat comes with a very high standard specification, and is great value for money compared to the far less powerful European cars in its class."
