Out of all the thoughts that come to one's mind after purchasing a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and installing oneself into that cozy driver's seat with 707 ponies, racing a pickup truck is probably not the first scenario.
Still, just in case you find yourself in the aforementioned role, you should be prepared for such a battle. "But I've seen a Challenger Hellcat walk a 2015 Corvette Z06, so why all this bed talk?" one might ask.

Well, the answer to that question is provided by the video below, which shows the Mopar machine battling it out with a different kind of Chevy.

This time, it's a Silverado, a Crew Cab model belonging to the previous generation of the truck. As early Hellcat adopters have accustomed us, the action isn't exactly legal, taking place on the streets of Louisiana.

The Challenger driver asked the man in the blue collar Chevrolet for a tour of the engine compartment before the fight. The massive hood was raised and, among others, a bold turbo showed up. A 92 mm unit, to be more precise.

In stock condition, such a Silverado would see 375 hp and 375 lb-ft at best, so the Hellcat driver thought the risk of racing the truck was worth it. A financial spice was added for the fun of it.

After some rather useless "what's in the box?" talk, the two slabs of America take to the road. We won't spill the forced induction beans, but we can tell you the situation quickly escalated to the "double or nothing" status. Oh yes, that massive blower and that turbo were fed with plenty of air that night.

While we do not condone street racing, the footage below does seem to have a bit of an educational flavor...
