A couple of days ago Chevrolet took the wraps off the brand new 2015 Corvette Z06 at the Detroit Auto Show, revealing a supercar finished in Velocity Yellow.
A very cool “hey, look at me” color is you ask us, but we have a feeling some of you would rather have the high-performance Z06 in a darker, menacing suit. The supercar will probably get a black exterior choice as well, but until Chevy launches an online configurator we have some photos with the Z06 painted in Cyber Gray Metallic.
As a brief reminder, the 2014 Corvette Stingray-based Z06 is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 1.7-liter Eaton supercharger that will deliver “at least” 625 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque, according to Chevrolet. The supercar will be equipped with a standard seven-speed manual transmission, while an eight-speed automatic will be an option.
The new Z06 won’t become available until early 2015, with the V8-powered supercar still under development. Final performance figures and pricing will be revealed later this year.
