Chrysler has officially revealed the next-generation 200 sedan ahead of its public debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show today.
Designed with a more stylish exterior and an attractive interior, the 2015 200 sets itself apart from the regular Chrysler lineup which, besides being limited to only four models, was pretty dull as well.
As we’ve previously mentioned, the new sedan will go on sale with two engines - a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder with 184 HP and 173 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 rated at 295 HP and 262 lb-ft of torque. Both units will be connected to a standard nine-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive will come as an option.
"Chrysler engineers used the latest technological advances combined with a passion for excellence when developing the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan," said Mitch Clauw, vehicle line executive at Chrysler Group "With an all-new body structure, a standard nine- speed transmission and an innovative all-wheel drive system, the 200 sedan has an amazing road presence and is so much fun to drive, we can't wait for our customers to get behind the wheel."
