As expected, the most fuel efficient version of the car is the one powered by the 2.4-liter Tigershark engine. In this configuration, the sedan returns 23 mpg city, 36 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined.

Moving over to the optional 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, models sporting this unit under the hood and front-wheel drive are said to offer a fuel economy of 19 mpg city, 32 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

When the V6 and the nine-speed automatic are connected to an all-wheel drive system, mileage drops to 18 mpg city, 29 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined.

The 2.4-liter model brings a five mpg improvement over the outgoing model, while the front-wheel drive V6 variant returns an additional three mpg compared to the 2014 Chrysler 200.

“With fuel economy ratings of up to 36 miles per gallon and features typically found on more expensive luxury vehicles, the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 delivers the premium features customers want at a price they can afford,” said Al Gardner, president and CEO of the Chrysler Brand.

“With a standard nine-speed transmission, state-of-the art available all-wheel drive, a choice of two powertrains and interior that will wow drivers and passengers alike, the new Chrysler 200 is raising the bar for what customers should expect from a mid-size sedan,” he added.

The brand new sedan will arrive in North American dealerships later this year with starting prices set at $22,695.
