General Motors has released a couple of videos walkarounds for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, in which the people who designed the brand new SUVs discuss how the large vehicles are “more refined and precisely sculpted”.
GM highlights the SUV’s new inlaid doors that fit into the body side openings for improved quietness and aerodynamics, the lightweight aluminum hood and liftgate panels, projector-beam headlamps, and high-intensity discharge headlamps and light-emitting diode daytime running lights.
Unveiled about three months ago, both SUVs are powered by Chevy Silverado’s 5.3-liter Ecotec3 V8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque via a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban will be built at GM’s assembly plant in Arlington, Texas. Both vehicles are scheduled to arrive in dealerships nationwide in the first quarter of 2014.
