People do all sorts of stupid things once they get their hands on the key that unleashes the 650 Hp of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. From driving it at an age when you're struggling to keep up with traffic to pulling a burnout as a break-in procedure, we've seen plenty of such examples.
Make no mistake though, when it comes to such supercars, which are available to a relatively wide audience, at least for their level of performance, you will never see them all.

The latest example of this comes in the video below, which shows a Z06 that may be totaled.

It all happens rather briefly. This appears to be a manual Z06, with the driver pulling a minimal amount of wheelspin during the takeoff and them shifting into second high in the rev range.

Once the blown V8 under the hood gets past the clutch and starts feeding power to those rear wheels in second gear, the 'Vette veers to the right, exiting the road.

The driver did show a reaction, attempting to apply the brakes. While this wasn't the most one could've done in the given situation, the trees on the side of the road were close enough to reduce the chances of a comeback.

Regardless, the Corvette Z06 ended up hitting a tree and you can see just how violent the impact was by the way in which the machine was thrown around.

As you can see in the pic above, which shows the aftermath of the accident, the Corvette took quite some damage in this crash.

Is the Z06 totalled?

The big question that now sits on everybody's lips is whether the supercar will be totaled or not. This obviously depends on the amount of money a hypothetical repair job would raise too.

Sure, it all sounds rather simple - if the value is past a certain percentage of the vehicle's initial value, the car is totaled. If not, it gets fixed. But that value can vary quite a lot from state to state, so we can't be certain of the blown 'Vette's fate.
