We’re sure many of you remember the straight-out-of-the-dealership 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 burnout that took place earlier this season. Nonetheless, that was a rather mild, one-minute burn. After all, the car had 0 miles on its odometer. Well, we are now back on the tire-melting topic with a much more aggressive Z06 burnout.
While the first piece of tire-shredding action came from an aftermarket developer that was ready to deal with any issues that could arise due to their unorthodox break-in procedure, this burnout arrives via a wrap company in Atlanta and it’s all happening thanks to what is probably the most obviously cited reason - a fresh set of tires was on its way and the old one needs a glorious way to go.

The burnout duration is about half of that of the previous one, but the revs certainly climb past 2,000 rpm (the driver of first ‘Vette claimed he never went past this rpm level to protect the engine). Basically, the LT1 V8 quickly covers the entire parking lot that serves as a playground in smoke.

Speaking of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 on the 2015 Corvette Z06, just earlier we showed you a dyno battle between the GM machine and a 2014 Viper TA (the two are old friends). One of the conclusions of the dyno fight was that the LT1 is extremely rich on torque, all across the rev range. While the low-rev twist may not influence racing performance all that much, it will make drivers feel the car is responsive.
