2015 Chevrolet Colorado Lifeguard Unveiled

Revealed and detailed earlier this week, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck made its public debut at the the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. In order to demonstrate how the new midsize truck can be accessorized, Chevy quickly introduced the Colorado Lifeguard, a show vehicle that can also be seen in Los Angeles until December 1.

“Designed with adventure in mind, the Colorado is easily equipped for the mountains or the beach. Inspired by the west coast, this show truck demonstrates one of the many ways the new Colorado can be accessorized,” the automaker said in a brief statement.

As a reminder, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado will go on sale next year with two gasoline engines (2.5-liter four-potter and 3.6-liter V6), while the proven Duramax 2.8-liter diesel, which is being used by the global Colorado sold in Brazil or Australia, will be added for the 2016 model year.

The new truck will compete against the Toyota Tacoma and the Nissan Frontier in a segment that currently lacks rivals from Ford or Ram.
