The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will start from $71,695 once it goes on sale in the United States, making the redesigned SUV $3,725 more expensive compared to the current version.
The price hike is not at all surprising though, as the new vehicle comes with a totally redesigned cabin that features an array of premium and handcrafted materials, state-of-the-art technology and more safety features. All told, the new Cadillac Escalade will be more than just a glorified Chevrolet Tahoe.
As a reminder, the vehicle will go on sale this spring in three different trim levels - Standard, Luxury and Premium. The large SUV will be powered by GM’s 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque and connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.
European showrooms will get the 2015 Cadillac Escalade towards the end of 2014, but General Motors has yet to reveal any kind of pricing information.
