Shortly after the 2015 ATS Coupe was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, Cadillac global chief Bob Ferguson said the brand might “exploit” the car and “offer variations” if it becomes successful.
The coupe has yet to go on sale and won’t become available until later this year, but enthusiasts are already thinking about how a convertible or a wagon version of the ATS would look like. We’ve already seen the former in a rendering provided by RM.Design, while the latter was digitally envisioned by the folks over at GM Authority about three weeks ago.

Recently, the GM oriented website took a shot at rendering ATS Convertible as well. They used the coupe as a base and added a black soft top and a light grey interior, which makes a great combo with the blue metallic exterior. To make things more interesting, they’ve also created an image picturing the vehicle with the soft top halfway into being folded away.

All told, this is the best ATS Convertible rendering yet, and we wouldn’t mind seeing Cadillac rolling out a summer ride like this sometime in the future. Maybe for the 2016 model year.

Just like the coupe, the convertible will become available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and a choice of two engines, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. The former will deliver 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the later will provide 321 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque.
