We were just waiting for more details to get leaked from the upcoming 2015 C-Class (W205), and our wish has apparently been granted courtesy of a slip from Mercedes-Benz Cyprus.
If you were wondering about the acceleration, top speed, fuel consumption and weight of the Mercedes-Benz C 180, C 200 and C 220 BlueTec of the W205 variety, you're in luck, because we now have them all.
As expected, the fourth generation of the C-Class has a lower weight than the current one, despite being considerable larger and offering more equipment.
We took the liberty of pitting the leaked specifications sheets against the ones from the current C-Class W204 and the differences are pretty major in almost every area, but we were most impressed in the fuel consumption area.
The Mercedes-Benz C 220 BlueTec (W205), for example, will use even less fuel than the current C 220 CDI Blue Efficiency Edition, which has a number of special modifications in order to achieve it.
The best official leaked numbers are 4.8 liters per 100 km (49 mpg) urban, 3.4 liters per 100 km (69 mpg) extra-urban and 4 liters per 100 km (59 mpg) combined. All this from a 2.1-liter, four-cylinder diesel that offers 170 hp and 400 Nm (295 lb ft) of torque.
You can check out a selection of screenshots from the Mercedes-Benz Cyprus website in the following gallery. Later on will properly compare the outgoing model and the new one, so stay tuned!
