Driving would be so much easier if trouble would just tell you it was there, but unfortunately it doesn't. That's why Buick decided to help keep you and your family safe by offering a rear view camera as standard on all 2015 models.
We've reported a little while back that the Transportation Department issued a new rule which says that all new passenger vehicles built from May 1st, 2018 are to adopt parking cameras. 4 years early, Buick will be the first automaker to fit its entire 2015 model range with a rearview camera offered as a standard feature.

“We know our customers are very safety conscious,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick . “The current Buick lineup holds many safety accolades, but we are always pushing to be at the forefront with our vehicles being among the safest available.” Further more, each of Buick's 2015 models also benefit from active safety technologies such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Six months of OnStar Automatic Crash Response is another standard feature on all vehicles. In case of a collision, a specially trained Emergency Advisor is connected to the vehicle the moment a crash is detected. If the driver requests help or can't answer, emergency responders are sent to the precise GPS location.

The Detroit car manufacturer boasts a current model range of five vehicles, including the Verano, LaCrosse, Encore, Enclave and Regal. All models earned a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety in the demanding New Car Assessment Program run by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

These days, rearview cameras are a lot like power windows and air conditioning - most new vehicles come with this feature, although not as standard. Providing the driver with more confidence while backing up, this must-have feature will most definitely make driving safer for everybody on the road.
