After seeing the X6 M testing on the famous Nurburgring, spy photographers caught up with the regular X6 on the Green Hell, testing just as hard as ever, before being released into the world.
With the summer rapidly approaching, more and more cars from BMW are being spotted out testing on the dry tarmac, something they missed during the cold winter we just passed.

The F16 X6 was set to be launched at the Moscow Auto Show, this summer but the recent conflict between Russia and Ukraine might see it postponed or even cancelled. If that’s the case, expect the new model to show up later this year at the Paris Auto Show.

The car will be using the same platform as the new X5 but will have different styling towards the back, simulating the silhouette of a Coupe car. As far as the engines will go, expect less offerings than on the Sport Activity Vehicle, probably limited at 3- and 4.4-liter mills.

The entry-level model will probably be the xDrive35i while the top of the range version will be the xDrive50i version. There will also be one or two diesel alternatives available for Europe, one of them possibly the M50d version.

A full on X6 M is expected to be launched later on, after or at the same time as the X5 M version, both of them using the revised version of the S63 4.4-liter engine used on the M5 and M6 models.
