Just last year, BMW gave the X6 sports activity coupe a bit of nip and tuck, but it looks positively ancient now that the F15 third-gen X5 came out with much more modern styling.
It's believed a replacement for the X6 is on the way and could debut as early as next year as a 2015MY car. It will feature the same imposing front end with connected headlights and grilles, but at the back will adopt that sloped roof which makes it superior to its rivals.
Expect the proportions to remain largely the same as before, since BMW is focusing more on lightening the platform to increase fuel efficiency. The interior will receive new manilas and updated iDrive system.
