2015 BMW S1000RR Gets Full Range of Arrow Exhausts

Italian high-performance silencer manufacturer Arrow announces a hefty addition to its line-up with a family of products especially engineered for BMW’s new superbike, the 2015 model year S1000RR. A revamped model with plenty of new features, the new S1000RR now sits at 199 horsepower in stock trim, and this is about all you will get from the dealership. As we reported earlier, there is not going to be a 2015 HP4 version of the S1000RR, so if you want extra performance, tuning workshops are the right way.

Of course, we’ve talked with a BMW Motorrad official who hinted us that the HP family is not dead and buried. Follow the link for finding out more on the possible future of the BMW HP4 (or which other name will they be marketed in the future) machines.

Four performance options, both homologated and racing-focused

If you’re more of a track BMW S1000RR rider, maybe choosing a GP2 exhausts system is the way to go. The GP2 introduces a full titanium can, with an optional dB killer and either titanium or stainless steel collectors, with a titanium link pipe.

Arrow lists “homologated” for the other three S1000RR silencers. You can choose the somewhat traditional Arrow looks with the X-Kone silencer, offered with a catalyst insert and a carbon end cap. The Race-Tech also comes with a carbon fiber end cap, but the sleeves can be ordered in titanium, carbon fiber, aluminium “white” and aluminium “dark”.

If a shorty exhaust silencer is what you’re after, then the Works or Competition EVO full system is your treat. The can is short and will barely stick out from the bike’s underbelly pan. The Competition EVO obviously comprises a full collector (also in titanium or steel) and a titanium link pipe for the slip-on can. The Works silencer is only available in titanium, as opposed to the GP2 cans which come also come in steel “dark” trim.

Like always, Arrow is not that keen to provide too much tech data on its parts, making you pay a visit cu the nearest dealer or call them and bombard them with questions. Either way, the new Arrow aftermarket parts are one of the ways you could shave off some weight from your 2015 BMW S1000RR (EICMA 2014 live photos) while adding some extra grunt in the power and torque areas.
