When it comes to M cars, the world expects these Bimmers to be useable both on and off the track without breaking a sweat. Recently, the Bavarians have been struggling to deliver that promise with the overweight M5 and M6 models being singled out here. However, with the M4 things seem to be getting back on track and we tested it to make sure. Oh, and we also got some HD photos together to offer you as a nice wallpaper collection.

The exterior styling is bold, to say the least. The hard lines up front demand respect while the wide stance and flared rear fenders will tell you a story about a wide track for better track capabilities. Speaking of which, the new model is now 15 seconds faster than its predecessor around the Nurburgring. Care to guess why?

That’s right, it’s all due to the engine. The new plant has two turbos attached to the 3-liter block that hosts 6 inline cylinders. All those things you see crammed in the engine compartment make 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, 11 HP and 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) of torque more than the E92’s V8. That and the weight reduction achieved thanks to CFRP usage (as seen here as a brace) contributed to these incredible results.

Inside, it’s usual BMW business with a big exception: the seats. They’re incredibly comfortable and will make your life better in every way, both on and off the track. On a circuit, they offer plenty of side bolstering to keep you still while around town, they take away a lot of the harshness of the suspension.

That’s where the M4 actually shines. It’s bipolar character is its best selling point. You can turn this car up to 11 and it won’t say a word against you, allowing its driver to chase down even Porsches if the moment demands it. However, it will also be usable as a daily driver catering to all your needs without breaking your back. Until you get one, check out our review and the HD wallpapers included over there.

The F82 M4 offers tons and tons of grip. Nonetheless, once you overcome this, the car is more than happy to assist you in sliding it. Or perhaps you just want to bake some donuts like we did in the image above. For the complete menu, you can check out the Full HD photo gallery of our BMW M4 review.
