The 2015 BMW M3 wasn’t launched only in Portugal, apparently. Despite most of the world’s journalists traveling to the Autodromo Internacional Algarve, some were cozy right back home, in the US.
One of them was Justin Bell, working on a report for Motor Trend. He had the chance to test the new car on the Mid-Ohio Raceway, the place where he properly drove a lot of cars, the first time when he was only 18, following in his father’s footsteps.

Experienced journalist and avid racer, Justin takes the wheel of the M3 and discusses the way it drives, feels and sounds. For comparison reasons, BMW also decided to bring all the other iterations of the legendary car on the track.

Therefore, we’re looking at a line-up made up of E30, E36, E46 and E90 M3s, before throwing in the new F80 model. Out of the range (that now includes the 2015 model), 3 models are using inline 6-cylinder engines, one has a 4-cylinder and one a V8.

Of course, everyone has a favorite but we’re not here to discuss the history of the M3 moniker. No! We’re here to see what the new one is capable of, in the shape of the F80. Let’s see what Justin has to say.
