2015 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer Wallpapers

We had the chance to sample BMW’s first front-wheel drive offering in its near 100 years of history. Needless to say that we had some expectations setting off but whether those were confirmed or not, you’ll need to read our review to find out. In the meantime, for those of you that like MPVs, we put together a short collection of full HD wallpapers.

At first, you might think that the car was designed by someone else completely and not BMW. That’s understandable looking at it from the sides, where the 2 Series Active Tourer resembles its only rival, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. However, the German designers included a couple of new creases and character lines that would take away some of that ‘boxy’ feeling you’d normally get on such a car. Good move!

Stepping inside the cabin you also feel like you’re in a new world. The usual BMW design is almost gone, the only reminders of what the company used to make being the instrument cluster that’s nearly the same as on any other 2 Series in the range and the iDrive system. The gearshift lever and basically everything else, seems new and feels good. There’s also a spacious feeling inside, mostly due to those big windows.

In the back you have plenty of space. That’s not to say that the front seats are any more restricting. We felt like there was more room in the back than in a 7 Series and that’s mostly due to the tall greenhouse of this thing that really offers a lot of headroom. In the legroom department you can choose your own sizing as the seats slide forward and backward.

Inside the city, the view is commanding mostly due to the high seating position. A special mention goes to the A-Pillar that get in the way when making sharp left turns but that’s not as disturbing as you might think and only seldom gets in the way. It’s like you’re driving a small SUV if you ask us.

No matter what other people say we found some familiarity with the way this car drives. Since the underpinnings are the same with the new MINI that we sampled not too long ago, we couldn’t help but feel like that’s what we were driving. It doesn’t understeer unless you keep the electronics activated and it’s rather good, considering it sends all of its power to the front wheels. Check out everything we had to say about it in our full 2015 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer review.
